Welcome to ResumeAutopsy(the “Service”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and resume-analysis tools. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
ResumeAutopsy is an automated tool that analyzes resumes for compatibility with applicant tracking systems (ATS). Key features include:
- Uploading a resume in PDF, DOCX, DOC, RTF, or TXT format for analysis.
- Generating an ATS compatibility score and a list of potential red flags.
- Tailoring resume feedback against a specific job description you provide.
- Account management and access to your past reports.
The Service is offered on both a subscription and a one-time-report basis, as described at checkout.
2. User Accounts
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
- Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering and to keep that information up to date.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Plans & Fees: The Service offers a paid 7-day trial that converts to a recurring monthly subscription, as well as a one-time report option. Current pricing is displayed at checkout before you confirm any purchase.
- Payment Processing & Merchant of Record: Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Your transaction is subject to Paddle’s terms and conditions in addition to these Terms.
- Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Upload content that you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes the rights of any third party.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by submitting automated or excessive requests.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, and other materials you submit (“Your Content”). You grant ResumeAutopsy a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service, including generating your analysis and reports. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Analysis Disclaimer
- Informational Purposes Only: ATS scores, red flags, and tailoring suggestions are generated by automated models and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome.
- No Guarantee of Accuracy:Applicant tracking systems vary widely and change over time. We do not guarantee that our analysis matches the behavior of any specific employer’s system, and we make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any result.
- Your Judgment: You are solely responsible for the final content of your resume and any decisions you make based on the Service. Treat all output as suggestions to review, not as professional career, legal, or recruiting advice.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service—excluding Your Content— including its software, models, design, and trademarks, are and remain the exclusive property of ResumeAutopsy and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
8. Termination
- By You: You may stop using the Service and cancel any subscription at any time from your account page.
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may harm us or other users.
- Effect: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RESUMEAUTOPSY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
